Christmas 2008

For Christmas we went to Colorado to visit my parents and my only living grandparent. It was a wonderful trip! Amelia enjoyed playing with her new toys, but was not all that interested in tearing the paper to open the presents. I realized that my teaching her that we don't tear paper (i.e. books, magazines, etc.) has carried over to the present arena. The look on her face when attempting to get her to tear the paper was pretty funny. It was as if she were saying, "you told me not to tear paper mom!" She is so smart! She also enjoyed spending time with her Uncle Pete, Grandpa, Grandma, Nana, Grammy and Brian (Pete's friend from pilot training). We also took Amelia sledding for the first time. Let's put it this way, for right now she is a lot like her mom and doesn't really like the cold! Here are some photos from our fun for Christmas!

Preparing for Christmas

I am really excited about Christmas this year because Amelia is a bit older and able to actually have some fun! We put our tree up for Family Home Evening last week and I've been extremely surprised...Amelia hasn't touched the tree or the presents under it! She is so smart!! While we were getting things out for decorating, she did enjoy that and was pulling things out of the bin! She is very helpful! I just love her! Anyway, here are some photos of us putting up and decorating our tree!!
