So...now to present day...I heard that NKOTB was coming to town and thought that I would like to go. I really didn't pay attention to when the concert was...and didn't think I would really go. My friend Lauren told me that she was going and got me thinking that I really did want to go, so I was getting ready to buy tickets but I didn't want to go alone. I talked to Lauren and called the ticketmaster and found that there were no seats near her. So I contacted my friend Kellie (who I knew was going too) and she spent more money on her tickets that I could justify spending and I don't think there were seats near her anyway...but I asked her anyway. Kellie then helped me in the hunt for tickets and I hunted for people to accompany me...so the first person I asked was Janalee...she was in!!!!! YEAH!!! So, then I called my friend Jamie and she was in!!! Kellie called me back and indicated that she had found free tickets and so she forwarded me the e-mail on how to get them. I was getting ready to pick them up and make a donation when Kellie called and said that she had 6 tickets on row 28 and they were FREE!!! That's right, FREE!!!! So, the plan was made!
We met at my house and headed to Craker Barrel to see if we could meet NKOTB b/c it is a little known fact that if they know a lot of fans are gathering they will come. So we went...met a new friend, Bridgette, from Houston. Bridgette flew in especially for the concert and she was so fun!! Unfortunately NKOTB did not show up...we left and hung out at Bridgette's hotel room until it was time to head to the concert!
On the way to the concert we lapped it...just like we were in high school! It was crazy!
The opening act for the concert was Lady Gaga...let's be honest, none of us knew who she was and after her act...most of us were glad we didn't know who she was...wishing that we had never seen her act. Her voice was alright...but her appearance and the lyrics were not all that great...my opinion.
Following Lady Gaga was Natasha Beddingfield...who was WONDERFUL! I was amazed!! She was excellent, I loved it!!!
Then was NKOTB!!!! OH MY GOODNESS!!! THEY WERE AWESOME!!!! We were pretty close up (much closer than grass seats over a decade ago)!! My mom even called in the middle of the concert and said she wished that she knew and she would have come up and gone with me again! Secretly...she loved it!!!
They also came and stood on a stage in the middle of the crowd and they were so close to where we were sitting!!!
Then, they walked right past our row heading back to the stage!! I got to touch ("five") all of them! Oh wow!!!! I felt like I was 12 all over!! I wish they would have come during my 30 Days to 30...but hey....what a great way to spend this...the 31st year of my life!!
This was at a point where they struck a pose and they talked about the pose and how ridiculous it was!! Just funny!!!

The fact that you went to a NKOTB concert is offensive on so many levels that I can't even comment. Except, of course, to tell you I won't be commenting. ( :) )
You know you love it and wish that you could get away with going!!! Next time you'll have to come too!!
Oh my gosh, that is the funniest thing ever. I was obsessed with New Kids also-had all the paraphenilia and Jonathon even shares my birthday if I remember correctly, but I was in love with Jordan. Wow-looks like you had a great time!
It was so much fun! It was a girls night out and we just had a great time!!
You are too funny! I loved this post. Isn't it great to back to your youth even for a night? I love it!
What a fun experience!
